It was a\u00a0fusion of Celtic and Christian spirituality. Celtic Christians differed\u00a0from Roman Christians in outward appearance such as clothing and\u00a0tonsure, were not urban, had little or no hierarchical structure and saw\u00a0God as always present, everywhere and in everything.
